Isuzu NPR HD Diesel purchased new in March 2005. Now used primarily as a backup for Fidelity and for 'short throws', we have no doubt that the truck could continue to work first-line for years to come.

Why They're Important...
- We own and maintain two company box trucks that exist for no other reason but to transport our equipment as per our clients' wishes. Why is this important? Why not rent vehicles or subcontract to a third-party carter as some others do? Wouldn't it save money? The answer is that it might in the short term, but there is simply no way to guarantee quality using rented vehicles or hired movers. In fact when we first started out we used to rent trucks. The results from doing so varied from ok to absolute disaster. It was the latter that led us to the conclusion that we had to do it all ourselves. Everything. Trucks had to be owned. The people who handled and moved our equipment had to be our own. The lesson learned: What good is the finest equipment fastidiously maintained if you can't get it to the gig?

Truck loading? Set-ups? More underappreciated skills in our line of work. In the course of our career, ManhattanPercussion has processed over 4000 orders. In other words; 4000 truck loads and counting. And no two orders (even identical ones) ever sit in the truck the same way. This means that your order is unique and that's exactly the way we go about fulfilling it. Loading a truck safely and efficiently requires a hard-won knowledge that only comes by experience and through trial and error. We've been at it for almost 20 years, and we know that loading a truck with fine music equipment is an art in and of itself. While we don't make or manufacture the equipment that we rent (with a few exceptions-see our instrumentorium) we feel that the end-product and labor-intensive services that we offer are in many ways hand-made and we consider our loyal and hard-working staff to be craftsmen and craftswomen. We're proud of them. We're also proud of our loyal and hard-working Clientele who feel the same way.
